Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) gets you around Dallas and 12 surrounding cities with modern public transit services and customer facilities tailored to make your trip fast, comfortable and economical. Our extensive network of DART Rail, Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and bus services moves more than 220,000 passengers per day across our 700-square-mile service area. To promote ridesharing, we also operate a system of high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes allowing carpoolers to whiz past freeway traffic jams. More than 145,000 commuters use our HOV lanes each weekday.

In Grand Prairie, a team of wastewater specialists finds a way to fit a pump station onto a sliver of land by applying a design that's the first of its type in Texas. In the City of Bee Cave, a multi-discipline storm water team designs a two-span pedestrian crossing under Bee Cave Parkway: one span to carry storm water, the other for use as a hike and bike path. In East Texas, a water resources team helps design constructed wetlands to divert treated effluent and reduce the need for new water sources in North Texas.
